Making a good mug has long been a passion of mine. Very subtle evoloution of these designs over the thirty plus years that I have been making them has brought them now to their current form. The designation "Worlds Best" comes from my customers. First time buyers of these mugs are invariably surprised to find that however much they may have liked them when they originally bought them, they like them even more after they've begun using them. These are the mugs that will become "YOUR MUG". Designed as they are to please the hand and the lip even more than the eye. Give them a try!

Currently all of the glazes that I am using on these mugs use Mt. St. Helens Volcanic Ash from the May 18, 1980 erruption as their primary ingredient. By that I mean that the ash is the largest single ingredient in each of these glazes. The percentage of ash used in each glaze then varies from 25% to 98%.

I usually make about two or three dozen glazed alike mugs at a time. I don't try to match those sets once they are sold. Individual variation in forming and glazing are to be expected. Linear dimensions given are only approximate, but close. Still, the volumes given may vary as much as 20%. All these mugs are perfectly safe for use in the microwave. I am constantly testing the truth of that claim. Sets of these mugs are available while they last. I will try to keep the number available updated as they sell.
